Cherish Every Moment

Good morning from the beautiful island of Aruba where all your worries fall off somewhere in the sunset ☀️ 🏝️

It’s so easy to forget all about your problems while on this island because of the smiles, hospitality, and joy from the people that cherish the little things on their beautiful island. How could I be so selfish and think about all of my worries and not appreciate people who were there serving me.

Cherish this moment is what I was thinking as my worries tried to creep in my mind, because I knew what was ahead of me when my vacation ended. But if paradise is right in front of me waiting to fulfill my every need, I should enjoy that moment. This is what I was missing all of my life, being present in the moment and enjoying things while it lasts.

Meditating on the moment, how good things are going, and not thinking about the bad, the past, and even the future troubles that I was having. Staying right there at peace and not leaving it to diminish. Loving every bit of the joy I was experiencing!

So I came to Aruba with no other intentions than to have a good time while vacationing. Every since I saw a TIK TOK about the differences between traveling and vacationing, I realized that I am a traveler and I always spend time learning about the country I traveled to instead of vacationing. I plan for my trips and have itineraries that lead me to waking up early to do some tours, learning more about the history, and educating myself about the customs. While this is great and educational, I needed to take a break from it and just enjoy the moment.

Aruba was that perfect place to be in that moment. The island is so small but delightful that your mind can’t wonder so far off but just meditate on the beauty that God created in front of you. This upcoming year I will be vacationing a little more, enjoying the sun, beach , nature. Having 2 or 10 drinks, and even sleeping on vacations to fully get my rest since I don’t get any while I’m home from working so hard.

So I challenge you to be present in your happy moments, stay right there and enjoy it. Don’t let your worries bury you, but bury your worries where ever is beneath you. Leave your worries in the past so you can be at peace and enjoy your own paradise.
