Opportunity is knocking..
Have you ever wished you would have took the opportunity that was right in front of you but you second guessed yourself or was afraid of the what if’s? When opportunity presents itself you only have a limited amount of time to think about if you are willing to take the risk to succeed or get whatever you’re looking for. Sometimes it’s only a little window of opportunity on the other side of success. One of my favorite quotes that I live by now is “Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door” by Kyle Chandler. This quote speaks volumes to me because a lot of time the risk you take does not work and though you quickly accepted the challenge the goal still was not met, but you have to keep trying new ways to open the door of opportunities and success.
If taking a risk worked the first time for everyone all the time then there would be a lot of millionaires right? Lol Success happens after you have put your all into it, attempted it several times, but never gave up, and in other words beat down the door! 🚪
So I challenge you to think quickly and accept the opportunity that is given to you. Yes, choose rationally and think smart about what you doing, but when the time comes do it now! Don’t prolong your wait if you have prepared yourself for years for goals. Several times these last couple of years I have been presented with opportunities that I almost turned down because of fear of what ifs. I’m so glad I took a chance, even though it was with precaution I took the opportunity to do something different.
And look where it has led me….
It has led me to a whole bunch of adventures and random trips to beautiful islands, and jobs that provided me to travel this world. It has led me to be in a city with unlimited amount of possibilities and connections. I’ve always thought about what if I said no to standby traveling and not taking the opportunity out of fear of being stuck in another city or country and not making the flight? I would never get to experience this peace I have now and the life that God has prepared for me.
I have found joy in taking chances and new beginnings.
Taking a chance on moving to a place and an apartment that I knew was out of my budget but so necessary for me to succeed. The opportunity landed me a place where I found a home that I enjoy although it was a little over my budget. After accepting the opportunity I was blessed with the raise to cover the gap. I graced with the peace of having my own spot that I call home that I cherish until my next big move happens.
So here’s to opportunity presenting itself and to us beating down the door and building ones. 🌻🌻
