What do you need to change for your prayers to be answered?

So many years ago I prayed for God to bless me with the finances to be able to travel and to enjoy more of life. Almost 10 years later he answered my prayers partially and blessed me with a job to be able to travel but not exactly with enough money to be able to travel to the places I wanted to. Sounds funny right? He didn’t bless me with the money to travel but the job to get there.

They say that God work in mysterious ways and I know he does because my prayers are answered little by little. Along the way he had to prepare me and train me for what I asked for. I know all my prayers will be answered in his time and not my earthly time. Between those times of waiting I had many jobs that prepared me for this one. Many jobs that provided structure like government jobs. Jobs that taught me policy, and jobs that grew my knowledge on different topics. I also had to learn to say NO which is why I landed a job in the youth detention center lol. But that’s a different topic. 😉 I say this to say DO NOT think that God has forgotten about your prayers just because they have not happened right now.

Maybe you have to grow before He opens the doors for the big blessings that you will receive. Sometimes we are not mature enough or it’s just not the right time and we have to learn some things before we ruin the gifts that God has for us. Whatever the reason is I know that I will be prepared when I receive it. For now it’s all about the journey before my prayers are answered. What have you prayed for that you haven’t received yet that you are wondering what’s taking God so long to give you?

Can you honestly say that you are prepared in every way to receive this gift? If you’re honest with yourself what do you need to change in your life so God can freely give you the things you have been asking and begging for? Will you be greedy, boastful, careless, or over spend, if He gave it to you now?

Keep praying and asking God what do you need to change for your prayers to be answered.
